This is the second year in row we’ve been awarded this honour for our Intelligent Billing system and we are so proud of the PRD Technologies team for its ongoing contribution to driving the industry forward.

Recognising innovation and contribution to the industry

This year we were up against some stiff competition, so for us, the win demonstrates to our customers and the market that we are committed to delivering a quality solution and are focused on evolving that solution to meet the diverse and growing needs of our customers.

Supporting channel partner growth

One of the key requirements for the award was showing that our Intelligent Billing platform helped our channel partners build and grow a more profitable business. In addition to some powerful facts and figures to support this, we also showed how our offering has advanced and what sets us apart from our competitors.

The first step in this journey was developing four product level offerings of our Intelligent Billing software – Essential, Advanced, Pro and Enterprise – to support channel partners of different size and complexity.

The second step was demonstrating how we further developed the functionality of the platform based on the needs of our channel partners, including Westcoast Cloud, EvolveIP, NFON and Talk Telecom.

How we did it – intelligent software for billing       

We developed an optimum solution for Westcoast Cloud, an existing customer, that needed an effective way of adapting to the changes brought about by Microsoft’s modifications to the way Microsoft 365 licenses are bought and renewed. The result: Westcoast Cloud increased their billing through the automated platform from £18 million p.a. in 2017 to £126 million p.a. over the last 12 months. And we are rolling this solution out to other channel distributors, VARs and resellers.

We also detailed how we developed a bespoke variant of our Intelligent Billing platform for the UCaaS and SaaS market at the request of EvolveIP – enabling them to increase cashflow by £5-10k pm, revenue previously lost to incorrect billing, and they have experienced significant reductions in billing administration time and resources.

In addition our entry showcased NFON and the user-centric BoBo (billing-on-behalf-of) solution we developed for them, providing their resellers with an enhanced managed billing service to support their growth in the competitive cloud telephony market, and NFON with an additional revenue stream. The scalable, multilingual and multi-currency solution perfectly supports NFON’s strategy to grow into international markets.

And finally, we showed how a wish list of specific functionality was developed for Talk Telecom for mobile billing, including cost centre reporting, SIM swaps, customised invoice styling with marketing messages in addition to automated functionality and integrations for multi-provider billing converged into a bureau billing platform.

In addition to those four examples of the great work we’ve done for customers, we work across the cloud, MSP, ISP and telecoms billing space, working to understand the unique requirements of each customer and customising our Intelligent Billing platform to meet those needs.

It is not just this latest award win that shows how we help our customers grow – we’ve had great success already in 2023, including winning Billing Platform Vendor of the year and Services to the Channel awards in the Comms Business Awards, as well as garnering some fantastic highly commended feedback.
